Night log_003: Ledge Grab
I started implementing a ledge grab system. It relies on raycasts to detect if there is a climbable surface when the player initiates a climb. I was heavily influenced by this great tutorial: https://youtu.be/BKiSTM-G9pQ although I ultimately implemented mine in c++.
Its been fun prototyping something like this in Blueprints first and then converting it to c++ so as to integrate it into the rest of my traversal architecture. More on that later. Until then, here is a fun video of the first time the code compiled correctly:
